Autumn Activities

September 23 marked the official first day of fall! When summer ends, most people think so does their outside activities. Fall is still the perfect time to get outside and be active. Therefore, we have compiled a list of five outdoor activities that YOU can do in the fall season! From visiting pumpkin patches to watching your favorite football team, get excited for cooler weather.

1. Go Camping!

During the fall season is the perfect time to spend time outside camping. Here are three main reasons why camping in the fall is better than the summer:

  • Fewer bugs
  • More affordable
  • Less people

One of the worst parts of summer are the bugs! Bugs tend to seek out the warmer and more humid climates, meaning you can enjoy a bug-free camping experience. Camping is also more affordable in the fall! Many parks lower or drop their admission prices after Labor Day. Lastly, parks typically have less people in the fall. It’s harder for families to find time to go camping during the school year, leaving camp sites nice and quiet for you.

Visit our RV Maintenance and Parts page to ensure you have all the necessary accessories. Once you have all of your accessories, check out our Tool Boxes page to keep all of your accessories safe!

2. Visit a Pumpkin Patch

Going to a pumpkin patch is a fall staple! Picking out a pumpkin at a patch then bringing it back home to paint or carve is an amazing activity for your family.

To ensure your pumpkins are safe on your journey back home, look at our Chains and Binders page as well as our Tow Straps and Ropes page.

Enjoy a hot cup of apple cider while doing this classic fall activity!

3. Watch your Favorite Football Team

Fall means the start of football season! Whether your favorite team is high school, college or the NFL, tailgating is the best way to make your game day experience even better. Tailgating means bringing your car into the parking lot of the stadium and hanging out with your friends before the game! In order to optimize your tailgate experience, connect a trailer to your car. Many people bring grills and TVs with them!

Check to make sure your towing parts are up to date. A Rear Mounted Receiver and a Ball Mount is a must!

4. Yard Cleanup

Stop viewing yard cleanup as a chore! Make cleaning up leaves fun by raking the leaves into piles. Have you along with your friends and family jump into the leaf pile! You could even turn it into a competition and see who can get the biggest pile of leaves to jump into.

Once you’re done playing in the leaves, collect them on top of a Tarp to make for easy cleanup. Shop Tarps now!

5. Take a Scenic Bike Ride

The start of fall calls for a beautiful change in scenery. The leaves change color quick so don’t miss the opportunity to see the stunning warm tones of the leafs. Going on a bike ride is the perfect leisurely outdoor activity to explore the changing colors! Consider a bike ride as activity you can do while camping, as mentioned in activity one.
