Lock is garbage

“I bought this Part #: 63253 from Tractor Supply. It was on my truck a little over a month and the dust cover has always been in place. I tried to remove it yesterday (10/16/23) to put on my adjustable drop hitch and the lock would not release. The key turned and the lock mechanism popped out like it should but it wouldn't release the internal mechanism. I had to cut it off with a reciprocating saw. Of course I didn't have a receipt after a month and a half and tractor supply would do a return on something I had to destroy so I'm SOL. I had to use a non-locking pin in it so I could kook up my trailer. The lock went in the trash where it belongs. Disappointed as I usually have no problems with Reese products.”
