Premium Dexter DX6.6 Surge Brake Actuator
At the heart of this system is the Dexter DX6.6 Hydraulic Disc Brake Actuator (formerly the popular Tie Down Engineering 660E actuator). This advanced surge actuator incorporates Dexter's new Drop N Go latch mechanism, allowing for faster and easier trailer hookup. Simply lower the coupler onto the hitch ball and the quick-lock mechanism automatically engages for a secure connection.
The actuator is designed to mount directly to a 3-inch trailer tongue/frame using a bolt-on design and fits standard 2-inch hitch balls. Rated for trailers with a Gross Trailer Weight (GTW) of up to 6,600 lbs and a maximum tongue weight of 660 lbs, the DX6.6 provides smooth, proportional hydraulic braking without requiring an electronic brake controller.

Complete Single Axle Disc Brake System
This kit includes everything required to install hydraulic disc brakes on a single 3,500 lb axle. The braking system features two 10-inch integral hub and rotor assemblies with the popular 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern, providing excellent stopping performance while maintaining compatibility with many common trailer wheels.

Designed for Common 3,500 lb Trailer Axles
This brake system is engineered to fit standard 3,500 lb trailer spindles utilizing:
1-3/8" Inner Bearing (inside diameter)
1-1/16" Outer Bearing (inside diameter)
The kit fits standard 4-bolt brake flange configurations and is compatible with 13-inch and larger wheels.
Note: Bearings, grease seals, spindle nuts, washers, and related spindle hardware are sold separately to allow compatibility with various axle configurations.
